The commercial law firm Orth Kluth is modernizing its name and will operate under the orka brand in future. The legal form of the law firm with offices in Düsseldorf and Berlin remains a partnership with limited professional liability.
Orth Kluth, in future orka, was founded in Düsseldorf in 1997.
Since then, the law firm has established itself in the market as a full-service commercial law firm for leading German SMEs, DAX, MDAX and EUROSTOXX 50 companies and increasingly also for international companies.
In addition to traditional legal issues from many sectors, the firm’s client work has recently increasingly focused on the future topics of energy and mobility, digitalization/AI and sustainability (ESG). In addition, the firm’s active British, Chinese and French desks have contributed to a significant internationalization of client work. Since its launch 27 years ago, Orth Kluth, now orka, has grown to 90 lawyers with 20 equity partners and a total of 140 employees at its two offices in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
With the name change to orka, the law firm translates the dynamic factors of its development – growth, internationalization and additional focus on innovation sectors – into a simple, modern and also internationally catchy brand.
The new firm name evokes associations with the largest living dolphin species, the orcas, which are characterized by their strength and intelligence, social team play, communication and leadership skills and strategically clever behaviour. As a commercial law firm, we stand for intelligent business advice with team play and bite.
On the other hand, the orka brand can also be associated with a breath of fresh air for business in legal advice, with which the law firm aims to advance its clients.
