Kai-Michael König advises in the areas of M&A and corporate law, with a focus on directors and officers liability. His practice also includes distribution law. He regularly handles transactions of various sizes and structures. Before joining orka as a partner in 2007, he worked at Hengeler Mueller from 2001 to 2007 in the areas of corporate law, capital markets law, and M&A, where he gained extensive transaction experience. In 2003–2004, he completed a secondment at Slaughter and May in London.

After completing an apprenticeship as a bank clerk, Kai-Michael König studied law in Saarbrücken and Rennes, served as a research assistant at the Institute for European Studies at Saarland University, and received his doctorate from Saarland University in 2002.

Kai-Michael König is a member of the Supervisory Board of Norgren GmbH and of the North Rhine-Westphalia Regional Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V.
