Markus Berndt advises both global corporations and medium-sized companies in the areas of criminal compliance, commercial law, and corporate criminal law. He draws on more than 20 years of experience dealing with investigative authorities.

Markus Berndt has been a partner at orka since 2018. In 2006, he co-founded VBB Verjans Böttger Berndt Rechtsanwälte, a law firm specializing in commercial and tax criminal law, and prior to that, he was a partner at the law firm Wessing II Verjans starting in 2003. Prior to that, he worked as an lawyer specializing in commercial criminal law in Bielefeld and Düsseldorf.

Markus Berndt studied law at the University of Bielefeld and earned his doctorate there in 1999. He has held the title of certified specialist in criminal law since 2006.
