Markus Berndt advises global corporations as well as medium-sized companies in the areas of criminal compliance, commercial and corporate criminal law. He can draw on over 20 years of experience in dealing with investigating authorities.

Markus Berndt has been a partner at orka since 2018. In 2006, he co-founded the law firm VBB Verjans Böttger Berndt Rechtsanwälte, which specializes in white-collar crime and criminal tax law, and before that he was a partner at the law firm Wessing II Verjans since 2003. Prior to that, he worked as a lawyer specializing in commercial criminal law in Bielefeld and Düsseldorf.

Markus Berndt studied law at the University of Bielefeld, where he received his doctorate in 1999. He has been a specialist lawyer for criminal law since 2006.
