The commercial law firm Orth Kluth, together with the business consultancy goetzpartners Management Consultants GmbH and SCI Verkehr GmbH, is advising the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport on the transformation of Deutsche Bahn.

According to JUVE research (you can find the article here), the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn has decided to merge the Group’s infrastructure divisions. DB Station Service AG will be merged with DB Netz AG to form a new infrastructure division under the name DB InfraGo AG.

DB InfraGo AG will be established on January 1, 2024 and will focus on both economic and public welfare objectives. The new company’s most important task will be the general refurbishment of important rail corridors and lines in need of modernization. The federal government has pledged additional funding of around 40 billion euros for this purpose.
