The commercial law firm orka has advised Radiologische Allianz eGbR on the establishment of a new partnership with Sanecum Gruppe GmbH. The latter has acquired the majority of the shares in Radiologische Allianz. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The Radiologische Allianz operates practices at more than 20 locations in Hamburg, specializing in radiology, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. The group emerged from a merger of three founding practices in Hamburg in 2009 and is one of the leading radiology practices in Germany.  

Sanecum is a healthcare company operating throughout Germany that manages a network of physician-run medical care centers with different specializations. The main focus of medical activity in the medical care centers is in the areas of nephrology, oncology, cardiology, laboratory medicine and radiology, among others. At the Sanecum Group’s more than 90 locations today, chronic patients are cared for by more than 400 doctors using a multidisciplinary treatment concept.   

With the acquisition of Radiologische Allianz, Sanecum intends to strategically strengthen the Group in radiological diagnostics and therapy and expand integrative patient care.  

Under the leadership of the two corporate/M&A partners Boris Körner and Dr. Marc Henze from the Düsseldorf office, the seven-strong orka team advised Radiologische Allianz on corporate, antitrust and employment law. The transaction once again underlines the firm’s private equity expertise in the healthcare and life sciences sector, which has grown considerably in recent years.
