Tim Christian Gießelmann advises in the areas of M&A and corporate law, with a particular focus on advising founders and investors on investments in start-ups, real estate transactions and joint ventures, in addition to traditional M&A advice. He is also a member of the Insolvency & Restructuring competence team and has particular experience in distressed M&A. He joined orka in 2012 as a lawyer and was appointed as Salary Partner in 2017. He spent a few months at Siemens AG as part of a secondment.

Tim Christian Gießelmann has been a lecturer at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences for civil law since 2013 and for commercial and corporate law since 2015. In 2016 he was appointed a certified specialist in commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht) and has been a business mediator since 2021.

He is a member of the Wissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Unternehmens- und Gesellschaftsrecht (VGR) and a member of the Deutsch-Schweizerische Juristenvereinigung (DSJV).

Tim Christian Gießelmann studied law in Osnabrück and Lausanne and received his Doctorate in Law from the University of Osnabrück in 2014.
