The commercial law firm orka advised Sirum GmbH on the entry of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as an investor.

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Osnabrück, has acquired a 14.76 percent stake in Hamburg-based software provider Sirum. The logistics group, which is represented in 57 countries worldwide, will in future rely on the Sirum Logistics Suite as a transport management system (TMS) for its courier, express and parcel (CEP) business. As both companies announced, the modular software, which is operated in a private cloud, will be implemented within two years.

Beyond the introduction of the application, Hellmann wants to offer its new software partner additional scope for development as a shareholder. Sirum has already built up personnel in order to be able to continue developing the operational system during the implementation phase. Innovations resulting from the cooperation will be available to all users of the Logistics Suite.

On the one hand, it creates the basis for further growth and, on the other, it leaves our independence untouched.”

Sirum GmbH, based in Hamburg, was founded in 2016 and offers the SIRUM Logistics Suite, a cloud-based logistics software for all central transport processes. The basis is a modular transport management system (TMS) or warehouse management system (WMS), which can be expanded as required, for example to include document management (DMS), fleet management, accounting and much more.
