Orth Kluth has provided the shareholders of radprax Holding GmbH & Co. KG, a leading German healthcare group specialising in diagnostic imaging, with legal advice in connection with its takeover by Quartz Healthcare Group sarl, a portfolio company of the investment funds managed by InfraVia Capital Partners.

radprax Holding is registered in Wuppertal and also operates from 13 locations in North Rhine-Westphalia, running medical centres and a hospital. With more than 410,000 patient examinations each year, 130,000 of which are MRI scans, it counts among the largest and most up-to-date medical centres for diagnostic imagery and image-guided therapy in Germany.

The radprax Group medical centres (MVZ) provide services in the specialist fields of radiology, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, cardiology and interventional radiology, as well as preventative medicine, and care both for outpatients and inpatients of hospitals where they serve as the radiology department. The radprax hospital in Plettenberg adds surgical, gastroenterological and geriatric departments to the medical spectrum in the area. radprax Holding currently employs more than 90 doctors and 950 specialist employees.

Following its takeover of radprax Holding, Quartz Healthcare Group will be one of the largest providers of diagnostic imaging in Germany, with practices at 26 locations and more than 1,200 specialist employees.

Orth Kluth Rechtsanwälte, led by Dr. Marc Henze, comprehensively advised the shareholders of radprax Holding on the international transaction. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
