The commercial law firm orka has appointed David Salm as a new salary partner in the construction and real estate law practice group. The appointment will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Lawyer David Salm has been working at orka’s Düsseldorf office since the beginning of 2025. He previously worked for five years at the law firm Lutz Abel in Berlin, most recently as a senior associate. He specializes in advising on real estate transactions, project developments and commercial leases. David Salm advises industrial clients, institutional investors and family offices on the structuring, financing and management of their real estate portfolios. He also assists clients in negotiations and disputes and has particular expertise in the area of foreclosure.

David Salm studied law at the University of Bremen. After working in New York and elsewhere, he passed his bar exam at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court and was admitted to the bar in 2020.
