Commercial law firm Orth Kluth provided legal advice to 4PL Logistics Management AG of Basel, Switzerland, in the process of its acquisition of Imperial Logistics AB of Malmö, Sweden, from Imperial Logistics International. The parties agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction.

4PL Logistics Management AG is a leading provider of fourth party logistics services in Europe. The Swiss corporate group, which is still entirely family-owned, was founded in 2000 in Basel by Alexander and Olivier Bauer. 4PL Logistics Management AG employs logistics professionals at its various offices around the globe in Europe, Asia and North America.

Imperial, which has been a full subsidiary of DP World since March 2022, is an Africa and Europe-focused provider of integrated market access and logistics solutions. Based in Duisburg, Imperial Logistics International is responsible for the Imperial Group’s logistics solutions outside Africa.

The acquisition of Swedish Imperial Logistics AB represents an important strategic expansion of 4PL Logistics Management AG’s international offering in Sweden, Poland and Romania.
