PROFILE

Philipp Mels advises mainly in the areas of IP, IT, competition and data protection law. He joined orka in 2001 and became a partner in 2002. He previously worked in the Düsseldorf office of the former law firm Andersen Luther. In addition to his legal practice, he has taught copyright law at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund since 2015 and IT law at the Mediadesign Hochschule für Design und Informatik in Düsseldorf since 2017.

Philipp Mels studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Montpellier. He received his doctorate from the University of Cologne in 2002. Philipp Mels is a specialist lawyer for intellectual property law.
