Michael Bohne is an expert in media law, IT law, copyright law, competition law and data protection law. Michael Bohne is not admitted to the bar. He is Of Counsel and in this role advises orka internally and not directly to clients. He initially joined orka as a lawyer in 2011 and has been Of Counsel at orka since 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Michael Bohne taught at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, after holding a professorship at the Calw University of Applied Sciences for Media and Business since 2010. He has been a professor at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2015.

Michael Bohne studied law at the Universities of Constance and Cardiff (UK). He received his Doctorate in Law from the University of Constance in 1998. From 1995 to 1997 he worked as a research assistant and thereafter as lecturer until 2001 at the Centre for International Economics at the University of Konstanz and at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Private Law in Hamburg. Between 2001 and 2008 he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (ITM) at the University of Münster.
