Partner Dr Michael Sitsen and his team were delighted to be named TOP Law Firm and TOP Lawyer for public procurement law yet again by WirtschaftsWoche (issue no. 36 of 2.9.2022) in recognition of the public and procurement law practice group’s excellence.

The PPL team specialises in mobility-related public tenders. It advises clients on a wide range of relevant and practical legal issues in connection with the transport policy turnaround, hydrogen mobility and electromobility, alternative mobility providers and the digital transformation, as well as conventional public transport, passenger rail transport and rail freight transport.

Another focus area is public procurement law consultancy services in connection with renewable energies such as hydrogen, solar and wind energy. In these areas the practice group provides comprehensive advice to government authorities, public sector organisations, transport companies and bidders in tenders, including assistance with contract drafting and with subsidy and state aid-related matters. The team also advises clients on the procurement of architecture and engineering services, construction and other services.

In cooperation with the Handelsblatt Research Institute, over 1,200 lawyers in 148 law firms were asked to name the most renowned colleagues in the field of public procurement law. After evaluation of the results by a jury of experts, a final list of 50 leading law firms and 70 highly recommended lawyers for public procurement law was drawn up.
