The commercial law firm Orth Kluth has appointed lawyer Volker Herrmann as an equity partner. With effect from July 1, the former salary partner from the Commercial practice group will join the circle of partners, which now consists of 20 members.
Lawyer Volker Herrmann, LL.M. (46) joined Orth Kluth’s Berlin office in January 2022, having previously worked as a salary partner at Taylor Wessing. He has many years of experience in advising national and international companies on matters of contract, commercial and distribution law. He offers additional expertise on ESG issues, for example in connection with supply chain compliance. He also regularly represents his clients in contentious disputes, whether before German courts or in national and international arbitration proceedings.
His clients include national and international companies from the automotive, chemical, manufacturing and entertainment sectors, among others. In the past, Volker Herrmann has also advised public clients on the implementation of complex infrastructure projects.

Volker Herrmann studied law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, Great Britain, passed his second state examination at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg and obtained his LL.M. at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland in 2005.
