The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act has now been in force since 01.01.2023 and has also affected companies with more than 1000 employees in Germany since 01.01.2024. After a long struggle, agreement was reached on the EU Supply Chain Directive (“CSDDD”) on March 15, 2024, meaning that it is expected to be transposed into national law in the member states by 2026. Against this backdrop, more and more companies are setting out to bring more transparency to their supply chains, regardless of whether they are directly or only indirectly affected by the LkSG and the CSDDD. However, the transfer of obligations within the supply chain poses particular challenges for many companies. Together with our partners from Cargodian GmbH, we will share our experiences from advising on the LkSG and look at the changes brought about by the CSDDD. Cargodian GmbH will present its approach to digital support in the implementation of due diligence obligations and show, among other things, how the companies concerned can meet their risk management obligations with the help of useful software tools.
